Hollow and thin-walled profiles (Structural hollow sections)

Hollow profiles, also known as structural hollow sections, are thin-walled rolled profiles with closed cross-section – square or rectangular. Thanks to optimal strength-to-weight ratio, they are ideal for modern welded structures where material savings are important while maintaining high load capacity. They are manufactured in two ways: by hot rolling (hot finished) directly from steel ingots or continuous cast coils, or by cold forming from steel strips, which are bent into the desired shape and longitudinally welded. Square and rectangular profiles have excellent strength properties and are used as columns and reinforcements. We supply profiles in grades S235JRH to S355J2H according to European standards, in various sizes and wall thicknesses, with custom cutting available.
